Greytown Sport & Leisure Society runs a Volunteer of the Month Award that is designed to acknowledge and give recognition to the efforts of volunteer coaches, administrators, managers, officials and other supporters. Volunteers are the lifeblood of any club and without their contribution amateur sport could not continue. Rules

• The purpose is to acknowledge the efforts of coaches, administrators and managers of the member Clubs of Greytown Community Sport & Leisure Society (GCSLS).
• Nominations to be received by GCSLS by 5pm on the 25th of the month. Entries may be sent to Greytown Sport, Town Centre, Main Street , Greytown (PO Box 106, Greytown) or faxed to 06 304 8309 or emailed to greytownsport@xtra.co.nz
• The monthly winner will be presented with a certificate sponsored by Lamb-Peters Print and a voucher sponsored by Greytown Community Supermarket.
• Details of the Volunteer of the Month will be displayed in the Greytown Community Supermarket. Radio Network will also be asked to acknowledge the person on their community notice board.
• The winner will also be entered in the 89.3 More FM Wairarapa Volunteer of the Month Award run in association with Sport Wairarapa.
• The winner will be selected by the Society’s Committee at their monthly meeting.
